Workshop: Personal Leadership and Mastery

25-27 October 2010, Oaklands Conference Centre -The course was an opportunity to build leadership and personal capacity. Leaders of NGO’s and CBOs as well as leaders in various government departments were invited to be a part of this workshop. The composition of the workshop consisted of political party managers as well as community development worker regional managers (Community Development Worker Programme - DPLG), Directors of Non Governmental Organisations as well as leaders in community based organizations.

28-30 May 2010 -- The DDP Cape Town office conducted this pilot workshop working with the community groups from various areas in the Western Cape. The workshop covered the development context, understanding the causes of poverty, developmental local government, the role of local government as well as understanding gender and gender based violence and the role local government can play in issues of prevention and response.
